Vable’s Subjects and Industries filters make full use of Vable’s integration with a third party natural-language processing (NLP) service for English-language content items. This document outlines examples of keywords related to the concepts we have included in these Vable public taxonomies.

Under the hood: Individual content items are analysed by the NLP solution and relevant keywords extracted. We also pick up keywords provided by publishers directly within their feeds, where available. In addition to using keywords to match articles to taxonomy filters, our team also manually assigns related sources and publishers to them, where applicable, so that all content from these is fed directly into the given filter.
