The MyVable self service platform allows your End Users to view and subscribe to your incoming email subscriptions.

The administration and management of the MyVable platform is designed to be straightforward. With a tick of a box, you can add your email subscriptions to the MyVable platform. Users can also make full use of Administrator-created labels to find Email Forwarder Newsletters of interest.

Accessing MyVable

End Users and Administrators can access the platform directly via my.vable.com.

Additionally, Administrators can access the self service platform from within the administrator platform by clicking on their name in the top menu bar and selecting MyVable.

Adding Email Forwarders to MyVable 

Before granting your End Users access to MyVable, you’ll want to populate the platform with the email forwarders to which they can subscribe.

Any Email Forwarder to which an End User has been subscribed by an Administrator will automatically appear in MyVable for that user, even if the subscription isn’t otherwise shared to the platform. This allows End Users the option to manage all their subscriptions regardless of whether it is shared within MyVable for others.

Email Forwarders can be added to MyVable in the Administrator platform from the Newsletters list view or within the detail view of an Inbox matching rule.

Option 1: List View

From the Newsletters page, tick the box(es) next to the Email Forwarding Newsletter(s) you want to make visible on MyVable then click on the three dots icon at the top of the list. From the dropdown menu, click on the option to add to Self Service.

Option 2: Detail View

If you are already in the detail view of a Matching Rule which has forwarding activated, select Show More Rule Details and then tick the checkbox “Publish to Self Service” within the Forwarding pane. You can then save the changes and it will be available on MyVable.

Note: If you are in the details view for any of your Rules, you will also be able to add/edit the description field. This description will appear on MyVable and gives your End Users more context when choosing their subscriptions.

You can see at a glance which Email Forwarding Newsletters have been added to MyVable by ticking the Self Service checkbox found in the left-hand Quick Options menu on the Newsletters list view. This will give you a filtered list of those items already added to MyVable. You will also see a new icon next to the title, indicating the status on MyVable.

Removing Items from MyVable

To quickly remove multiple Email Forwarding newsletters from MyVable, select the Quick Options Self Service filter on the Newsletter view. Tick the boxes for those items you no longer want to display on MyVable, and click on the three dots icon at the top of the list. You will now see the option to remove these from MyVable. Note that any users subscribed to these Newsletters will continue to see these in their related lists, but it will be removed for all other users.

You can also update the MyVable status of a Rule within the detail view, by unticking the checkbox “Publish to Self Service” and saving your change.

Utilizing Labels on MyVable

Labels offer Administrators a way of grouping and managing items within the Administrator platform. These labels can be made visible on MyVable in order to help your End Users quickly find the Email Forwarders of interest to them.

The visibility of labels on MyVable is set within the Label Manager (accessible by Global Administrators). Visibility is set on the root label, with sub-labels inheriting the setting. To make a label available to appear on MyVable, click on the pencil icon next to the root label (top level). Check the box next to “Publish to Self Service” and then click the checkmark to save your change. The self service icon will now appear next to the root label and sub-labels.

Labels that have been made visible on MyVable, will only display when they have been applied to a shared Email Forwarder from the Newsletters page. Empty labels, despite being set to visible, will not be displayed. Additionally, labels applied to the Email Rule itself will not be displayed in MyVable.

Assigning labels

Labels which are applied to Matching Rules are not inherited by the Email Forwarders themselves. This allows Administrators the option of using labels on Matching Rules for administrative purposes while assigning a different (or overlapping) set of labels to the Email Forwarder itself.

You can assign as many labels as you wish to your Email Forwarders via the Newsletters page.

Find the Email Forwarder(s) that you want to assign labels to, and select the box(es) next to the title(s). Click on the label icon at the top of the list view to open the labels dialog window.

Either use the expansion arrow on the right to open the Label tree, or use the search function to find the relevant labels. Check the boxes for the labels you want to assign to the Email Forwarder and close the dialog window when done.

To remove or amend, select the Email Forwarder, click on the labels icon and (un)check the boxes.

Now that you have populated the platform with the Email Forwarding Newsletters to which End Users can subscribe, you will need to enable their access to MyVable platform.
